Position: Senior Observability Engineer (Dynatrace | Grafana | OpenTelemetry)
Location: Barcelona (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Observability Engineer to design, implement, and lead observability
solutions across cloud and on-prem environments. With at least 7 to 10 years of experience in observability, cloud
infrastructure, and automation, the ideal candidate will drive visibility across systems and applications using
industry-standard tools such as OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Grafana, Honeycomb, Gremlin, and more.
This position is instrumental in shaping observability strategies, laying down governance standards, and enhancing
system reliability through effective monitoring and instrumentation. You will also be responsible for mentoring a
team of developers and standardizing processes through automation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of developers focused on observability engineering.
• Standardize and automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Implement and manage observability and monitoring solutions across cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
• Define governance and best practices for observability across the full development lifecycle.
• Conduct deep technical analysis and root cause investigations using observability tools.
• Develop and maintain custom instrumentation, metrics, and logging frameworks for advanced monitoring
capabilities.
• Drive automation initiatives to integrate observability tools across environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end system visibility.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, observability, or related engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
• Strong experience in cloud monitoring and troubleshooting (preferably AWS and Azure).
• Proficient in working with Kubernetes for container orchestration and observability in distributed systems.
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and system automation.
• Skilled in scripting and automation for deploying and integrating observability tools (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Experience implementing observability solutions in both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in hybrid environments.
• Fluent in English (C1) – written and verbal communication.
Education:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (Technical Engineering preferred)
