Job Description:
We are urgently seeking a Senior Data Engineer with proven expertise in cloud-based data engineering projects. The
ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory,
Python/PySpark, SQL, and ETL development.
This is a short-term assignment with 100% remote work, requiring a proactive and technically skilled engineer
capable of working independently and collaboratively within distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Develop and optimize complex ETL processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and integration
• Write efficient and maintainable code using Python and PySpark
• Build and maintain robust SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
• Participate in cloud-based data architecture and modeling tasks within Azure environments
• Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability
• Support ad hoc data requests and troubleshooting across projects
Required Skills and Technologies:
• Azure Databricks – strong hands-on experience
• Azure Data Factory – pipeline creation and orchestration
• Python/PySpark – scripting and transformation logic
• SQL – advanced querying and performance tuning
• ETL Development – design and implementation of end-to-end pipelines
• Azure Cloud – experience working on cloud-native data projects
• Power BI – desirable (valued experience)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering roles with increasing responsibility
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills in English (minimum B2, ideally C1)
