Descripción: Be a key driver on BASF´s path to digitalisation by supporting existing products and initiatives as well as innovate additional digital solutions that supports BASF´s global businesses.
As a Data Scientist you will develop ML solutions and data pipelines for diverse business cases across BASF. You will be part of a team of Data Scientists and have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in an Agile environment. The goal of the team is twofold: tackling complex business challenges and enabling other divisions to leverage Advanced Analytics tools.
What we expect:
– MSc or PhD in the field of Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics or related field
– Experience in Applied Statistical and Machine Learning modelling
– Relevant programming language (Python is a must).
– Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
– Experience with Data visualization
– Experience assembling data pipelines
– Object-oriented programming
– Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
Experience in the following topics is appreciated:
– Other programming languages
– Deep Learning and specific ML topics such as Computer Vision or NLP
– Putting ML models into production
– Working in business-driven environments
– Parallel/Distributed Computing (Spark)
– Start-ups/Entrepreneurial initiatives
– Working with Agile methodologies
Soft skills:
– Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Ability to explain technical results to stakeholders from different areas.
